Douglas Martin Henning

Hi Linda, Sadly, I must inform you and the rest of our class that Douglas "Doug" Henning passed just before noon today, March 28, 2022. Below are listed some particulars for his "In Memory" posting: Douglas "Doug" Martin Henning; Born in Seattle, on May 13, 1944, Passed at Good Samaritan Hospital in Puyallup on March 28, 2022. He lost his fight to kidney disease after an approximate nine-month battle. Doug attended Interlake Elementary, Hamilton Junior High School, and Lincoln High School. His family moved to Bellevue in the latter half of his senior year at Lincoln, so he actually graduated from Sammamish High School, in Bellevue. Doug went on to graduate from the University of Washington and received an advanced degree in Garment Manufacturing Technology from the State University of New York, Institute of Fashion Technology in Manhattan. He is survived by his wife of 50 plus years, Lois. Also surviving him are his grandchildren Kristopher, and Jennifer; his brother and sister, David and Doreen. Doug was proceeded in death by his son Corey in 2020. He and Lois were avid Husky football fans, holding season tickets and traveling to many away games. He was a skier, golfer, and active in his church. I would appreciate it if you would post this info on the "Lincoln 62" website. Best, Roger Peterson '62.

So sad to hear about Doug's passing.  I remember him fondly from Hamilton and Lincoln.  Gone way too soon!
