Ed Rasmussen

Ed Allen Rasmussen passed away on July 4, 2021. He had a seizure on May 30, 2021 and learned that he had several bain tumors which had metastasized from his melanoma. This was a very aggressive form of cancer. Ed was a retired Seattle City Light Lineman. He is survived by Shirley, his wife of 55 years, sons Chris and Mike and daughter Angela, along with numerous grandchildren. We are so thanful that he suffered for such a short time, but we wish we would have had more time while he could still communicate.  From: Shirley

So sorry and shocked to hear of Eds passing. We went to junior high, high school, and worked at Seattle City Light together. What a guy, he was so genuine and fun to be around. As Lineman he was well respected and knew his stuff. Although lately, I didn't see him that often he will truly be missed. God Bless Ed, and REST IN PEACE.

Rest in Peace and in His Glory, Ed.  Too soon for you to leave this earth, but you will be remembered fondly by many fellow classmates, friends and family.

To Ed . . my dear Brother in Christ... While I grieve the absence of our fellowship, I can rejoice that you are "absent from the body and present with the Lord " Thank you for encouraging me to study "Classic Christianity" which truly enriched my life. I was doubly blessed by your highlights and marginal notes !! To you, Shirley, I offer a prayer that Our Heavenly Father will hold you in His loving arms at this time of separation from your beloved🙏 ... To you Chanter alums, you possibly/probably remember "Battle Hymn" which we sing in our choir each 4th of July. I had been notified of Ed's Graduation to Glory a bit earlier that morning, so I was somewhat (significantly) teary-eyed!! We live-stream our services and Ed 'attended' frequently. As we grads approach another milestone, I tentatively plan an evening to celebrate our 60 yr Reunion. I recall messages from Ed saying OUR next reunion maybe when we are in the presence of the Lord for eternity . . See you there, my Brother, and that celebration will last forever ✝️🎶<>>

Love in Christ,

Vicki
