Stephen , Jr. Lea

Stephen , Jr. Lea

Stephen Lea, 69, of Edmonds, WA, loving husband of Judee Lea, passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2013, after a long illness.

Born and raised in Seattle, WA, Steve graduated from Lincoln High School and worked for more than 30 years as a computer analyst (long before the technology boom) for the Northwest Educational Service District 189. He also was a member of the Washington Air National Guard.

Steve loved to fish and keep bees with his close friends, and on weekends he enjoyed managing the family farm on Whidbey Island-raising Black Angus cows, harvesting hay, and chopping wood. Avid Husky fans, Steve and Judee, often would travel with family and friends to away football games. We will always remember his gentle spirit, his understated sense of humor and the twinkle in his eyes.

In addition to his wife, he will be missed dearly by his two daughters and sons-in-law, Jennifer and John Westin of Post Falls, Idaho and Jeannette and Eli Yim of Bothell, WA; and five grandchildren.

Steve's family is grateful to A Kind Heart adult family home for the excellent care provided.

A private memorial was held in the summer.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Washington or Evergreen Hospice Services.
