Brooke Buell Kappel, 63, of Edmonds, Wa. died July 30, 2007, at her home, after a 20-month battle with cancer.

Brooke was born August 8, 1943 to Wilma Carr Beull and Benjamin Norman Buell.  She grew up on Capitol Hill in Seattle.  She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1962 and attended Central Washington University.  In 1974 she began an 18 year career with the Teamsters, a year later she marries Larry Kappel and moved to Edmonds. She won an award for her photography of sunsets, continuing a family passion for photography.

Survivors include her husband, Larry Kappel; her sisters, Norma Lynn Buell and Janie Larson; and numerous family members, including the Kappel and Schei family from Stanwood.
