Malcon James Way

Malcom James "Jim" Way age 61, passed away unexpectedly October 13th, 2005. He was born in Newport, South Wales, UK and moved to Seattle while 12 years old living just north of Green Lake.

Malcom went to Lincoln High School and the University of Washington, He was a caddy at Seattle Golf Club at the age of 15 where he met the Nordstrom family and started selling shoes for Nordstrom at the age of 16.  That was the beginning of his sales career. After college he took a brief sabbatical skiing the Alps and came home settling down working for Ernest & Julio Gallo. He started at entry level and was promoted around the western US until the Gallos assigned him to open up the UK (his homeland) for the company where he spent a little over a year. Upon his return, he was recruited to Heublein where he met his bride, Laurie.  They began their Real Estate career here in 1995 and have built their business to be in the top 1% of Coldwell Banker internationally yearly.  Jim is survived by his wife, Laurie, brothers Rich (Irma) Way and Steve (Tammy) Sully, sister Joan Marcello, and much loved cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great nephews. His family and friends will miss his mischievous smile and sparkling blue eyes. Remebrances may be made to the Malcom James Way Memorial Fund at an Bank of America. In Jim's honor, funds will be used to build a park bench for all to sit and ponder a long Lake Union. Jim was often caught just gazing out on the lake that he was married on, lived on, worked around, boated on and loved so much.
