SANDY MARCHANT QUIMBY (1944 - 2012) Obituary Sandy Marchant Quimby of Mount Vernon, WA was suddenly called home by her loving God on January 4, 2012 after a very short illness. She was born July 1, 1944 in Seattle, WA. She was the daughter of Deliamay Doll Marchant and Dell C. Marchant of Tonasket, WA. Sandy attended grade school in Oroville, WA and later moved back to Seattle where she graduated from Lincoln High School in 1962. Later in life she earned her first Associates of Arts Degree from Highland Community College in Seattle. In 1994 she moved to Mount Vernon to be with her soul mate. She earned her second Associates of Arts Degree at Mount Vernon Community College. Her favorite hobbies were Square Dancing. Sandy served as President of the Mount Baker Singles Square Dance Club for two terms. Her other hobby was sewing. She was a professional seamstress in the Seattle area for many years. Sandy is survived by her mother and two daughters; Crystal Boyer of Tumwater, WA and Victoria Quimby of Lacey, WA. Crystal and her husband Neal provided Sandy with five grandchidlren; Adrian, Brandon, Hope, Orian and Sebastian. Sandy is also survived by Donald Olson; they were special soul mates for seventeen wonderful years. Sandra was preceded in death by her father. Don was by her side as she took her last breath on earth; then, she entered into Eternal Life. Sandra was taken to Affordable Burial and Cremation Services in Mount Vernon for Cremation. Graveside Services will be conducted this spring by Bergh's Funeral Home at the Riverview Cemetery near Oroville.
